While shopping at Target I found this on display:
It stopped me in my tracks (pun intended). This is the cutest friggin thing I’ve seen in a long time. I petted her, fed her carrots, and now I’m home and can’t stop thinking about her. I think Santa will be putting her under the tree this year. Madeline has begged for a horse for years but I keep saying no since I’m already the zookeeper for our dog, two rabbits, two hamsters, two tadpoles that refuse to become frogs, and fish. I have no desire to add cleaning up horse poop to my list of chores. Do you think this will suffice?
The commercial just came on while typing this. That’s an omen that I should buy it, right?
Underwear Girl, here are THE SHOES:
Update
Target does not have any pony’s in stock. In fact no stores have them in stock. Do you know why? Because they are on Ebay. 219 of them! They are selling for as much as $500. Could someone please enlighten me on how this happens? Seems to me that Furreal Friends Butterscotch Pony is this year’s toy scam. Why didn’t Hasbro make enough of them to meet demand? Where did these Ebay sellers get them? Why is this person selling the one she has if she plans to use the proceeds of the one she’s selling to buy one for her daughter. Huh? I refuse to succumb to the pressure. I did two years ago and paid nearly twice the price for a Video Now that broke a few months later. I’m not paying $400 for a pony that they may break or be bored with before Christmas break is over. I refuse to succumb. I refuse to succumb.

“Adults take note: Pony comes unassembled in box with head detatched.”
Santa might want to fix the decapitated horse first.

maggie- That’s what hubby is hoping for when I wear the shoes. I saw that it came unassembled. I hope the idiots who pay $500 for it think it’s worth it when they are putting it together on Christmas Eve.
supermom- At least I could afford the shoes.
goddess- Oh I wish he would! Does he shop on Ebay?
stephanie- nothing like a great pair of shoes to put you in a good mood. Especially if you can’t have a pony!

I am right there with you, I will never get into that marketing frenzy. It is really a mean and unethical way to go about business if you ask me. I won’t patrionize it.
Anyway, the pumps are great!

I’d pay 500 for the shoes, not the pony.

You will feel so much better if you wait to buy the horse until after Christmas and save, what? Something like $400+?
Don’t give into the mania.

No Target anywhere will have it.
I did see one pretty reasonably priced on the Raleigh Freecycle and they were willing to ship.
Maybe it is still there.
freecycle.org
then click on Raleigh and do a search.

I hate that toys are sometimes so hard to get for no apparent reason. Maybe you will stumble upon one somewhere. Good luck!

Butterscotch is adorable!! I love this toy
I would NEVER pay $500 dollars for it tho
I have a very REAL HAY and EXPENSIVE FEED EATING horse in my own barn that can easily eat up $500 in farrier visits, vet visits, special diet supplements, treats, tack, trail riding trips..ect
but I would not trade him for the world, Ive owned him 20 years (longer than Ive been married!)
but really, this toy is great, if you can find one at regular price, ID jump all over it

Love the shoes! Speaking of funny things to do with heels- back in my flight attendant days, I had a co-worker take off one high heeled shoe and use it to stir a mixed drink. She served it with a smile on her face to a complete a**hole. So when people wonder how flight attendants stay so calm and polite with so many rude passengers, we get back in other ways. Happy Holiday Flying!!!

Two questions:
What is the red thing?
Does the pony poop out the carrot?
That is something I would like to see.

DO NOT DO IT!!!! Right after the movie Cars came out, I decided my son needed all the characters. Of COURSE, they were no where to be found either in the stores or on the internet. I hit Ebay with a vengeance. Long story short, I paid as much as $30 ( I am SUCH an idiot) for cars that I later found at Wal-Mart for $3.50. F**king $3.50!!!!! UGH! Moral to this story……try all other avenues before resorting to EBAY. Bunch of scammers those Ebayers are…..just waiting for a sucker like me!!!!!!
